Chu Wei was my h2 math tutor from j1 till the A levels. His lessons were fun and engaging, and he simplified difficult concepts for us to understand. When going through tutorial questions, he ensures that everyone understood and cleared their doubts before moving on. He never fails to make us smile and enjoy lessons. Beyond the classroom, Chu Wei is a good friend. We can text him questions and he takes time out of his schedule to clear any misconceptions we may have. AO studies also has a lounge, provided just for students to self study. During the A level period (or any time really…), the lounge serves as a great study spot with its quiet and private ambiance, away from the suffocating pressure of the library. It helped me to focus and concentrate on my studies. AO studies and Chu Wei played an important role during my jc years and helped me attain an A in h2 maths, and i highly recommend for those seeking to improve their math.

AO Studies and Chu Wei had created a great and supportive learning environment for our boy, Christopher and the students who signed up with the Centre. Chu Wei had been encouraging and patient throughout the period Christopher was under his guidance. He had also presented lessons and taught in interesting, engaging, fun and easy to remember ways. Chu Wei was also always open and available for any consultations and showed real sincerity and care towards the welfare and best interest of his students. He helped Christopher to regain his confidence in Mathematics and journeyed supportingly with Christopher through the difficult A levels year. We are really thankful we found AO Studies and Chu Wei was there for Christopher who had proudly made great improvements in his H2 Mathematics. Thank you!

joined AO Studies after receiving a U grade for math during mid-years, jumped to an A in A levels. During math lessons, he ensures that every student understands the concept before moving on. Outside math lessons, he wouldn't mind spending extra time to individually refresh concepts with us. In addition, he gives alot of good advice regarding various decisions despite it not being part of his job scope. I thoroughly enjoyed math lessons every week and truly believe in his supplementary lessons which are held nearing exam periods. I did not regret joining AO Studies. Thank u Mr Lim!

Chu Wei is a very engaging math tutor and is one of the best teachers out there. He cares for all of his students, clarifying all our doubts during lessons and after lessons. He even provides a variety of snacks, drinks, hot tea and hot towel which helps refresh us for the next half of the lesson. He even allow us to use his lounge (with aircon) for FREE whenever we need a quiet and conducive place to study. Thanks Chu Wei for being an awesome math tutor and helping me do well for A levels.

I never understood Amath and was always lost in class when everyone else seemed to be getting the hang of concepts. School lessons always felt too fast and I fell behind everybody in class. I was too shy to ask my teachers questions and didn't understand when my sisters tried to teach me. I remember getting a 9/30 for my first amath test in school and feeling like I had absolutely no hope for the subject. I only joined AOstudies in September 2021, a month before my SA1s. Chu Wei’s lessons are definitely not easy. They will challenge and test you in ways you would have never thought of before. It took me a while to get used to the rigour of his lessons but once I did, I started to enjoy doing math and challenging myself to do questions I had never seen in school. His tests weren’t easy either and I always dreaded doing them. After each class test, I was always in pure shock at the kinds of questions he tested because of how difficult they were. But in retrospect, it was always those questions that would come out in my school exams and even Os. He is an incredibly skilled teacher who uses his expertise and years of teaching to predict questions and equip us with the skills we needed to solve anything. His carefully-curated notes contain everything you would need when studying. At the start of each topic, Chu Wei would take the time to explain the concepts in depth, instead of force-feeding formulas. He basically taught us what we should have learned in school, such as simplified concepts that help us save important time during our papers. It helped me to understand each topic and I felt like I was learning it for the first time even if I already had in school. His multifarious practices exposed us to all types of questions that could be tested so that when we did encounter them, we would not be stumped during the paper and waste our time. No exam paper is exempt from difficult questions but with Chu Wei’s techniques, you would be able to look past all the tricks and understand what the question is asking for. Chu Wei covers every single aspect of doing well in math, focusing not only on speed but also accuracy. During lessons, he always points out things we could be marked down on; things that weren't taught in school, or things you would otherwise think didn't matter. He would also point out areas where we could possibly make careless mistakes so we don’t throw our marks away.Chu Wei is more than any other tuition teacher and is dedicated to helping his students, be it by taking the time to come early before or stay back after lessons to clear any doubts we may have had about the questions or, communicating patiently over WhatsApp to clarify any issues we had regarding our homework or self-practices. In class, he was always able to recognise my unsure feelings and would go back to re-explain the question until I could fully grasp its concept. He never left us confused about a question before continuing with his lesson. It was clear that he was not just going through the motion of doing practices to finish the 2 hours but actually cared that we learned something in class.Besides academics, Chu Wei always spurred us on. After many desperate attempts to score well in school, Chu Wei encouraged me to keep up my efforts and even took the time to help me realise where I was going wrong so that I could change my methods and study more efficiently. He kept us going during Os when we all wanted to give up through encouraging phrases in each worksheet or mini talks during class. Every class with him was filled with laughter and I really enjoyed going, even for the revision classes that were mentally taxing at times. From a C5 in Prelims, I was able to attain A1s for both Maths! THANK YOU CHU WEI!!!

“AO Studies was certainly a pleasant surprise. as dreadful as math seems to be, Mr Lim makes math such an enjoyable subject and explains each topic in a clear and concise manner.

I was initially reluctant to try out ao studies after many failed attempts of attending various math tuitions. they always seemed to be a waste of time as after a long 2 hrs of teaching, I somehow still couldn’t complete a single amath question at all. as you would expect,  was consistently scoring C’s or F’s for all of my exams despite consulting many different math tutors. however, ao studies was certainly a pleasant surprise. as dreadful as math seems to be, Mr Lim makes math such an enjoyable subject and explains each topic in a clear and concise manner. each lesson is always interesting and unique, especially with the addition of some extra knowledge to help understand certain topics better. even though his tests are pure pain, it has helped to motivate and prepare me for future exams. with that, i’ve managed to score an A1 for both e and a math during my o levels. furthermore, mr lim is open to providing advice on which pathway to take post o’s which is something I truly appreciate. thank you mr lim 🙂

“Despite the  long hours, I’ve never felt tired or bored once thanks to the complex yet fun questions in Chu Wei’s tutorials.

At the end of Sec 3, I was failing both EM and AM, scoring D7 and F9 respectively. As a result, I had to go scramble for tuition to help my less-than-ideal grades. After much extensive Googling, I decided to give AOstudies a try, with much skepticism. However, I am truly blessed and grateful to have made that decision.

Even before I properly signed up for Math tuition with Mr Lim, he kindly offered a introductory session where he explained his teaching method and a look of what his tutorials would be like. He answered my parents’ queries wholeheartedly and confidently, and henceforth I signed up.

AOstudies is like no other tuition centre: freeflow refreshments, hot towels to freshen up etc – it really gives us students the much needed mental break and cool down. But that’s not all. It’s the well thought-out tutorials, interesting explanations and engaging lessons that really made my experience with AO wonderful.

In the months leading up to MYEs, Prelims and Os, Mr Lim’s revision schedule really stretches us to the max. Despite the Long hours, I’ve never felt tired or bored once thanks to the complex yet fun questions in his tutorials. Most of the questions appear in my exams, and even in O levels (almost the same questions!) Thanks to Mr Lim, for AMath I went from F9 in MYE, B4 in Prelims and ultimately A2 in Os. Meanwhile for Emath, I had attained C6 all the way up till prelims to scoring A2 in Os.

Mr Lim is more than just a math tutor. With Mr Lim’s words of advice and encouragement beyond just O levels regarding post-secondary options, his straight to the point explanations, caring disposition, I have never regretted joining AOstudies. Even post Os, Mr Lim kindly provided his insights to help me in making my decision for my post secondary education. Needless to say, I will definitely be back for JC Math!

“I was initially hesitant on going for it however, Chu Wei made sure that all of us were comfortable during lessons.

In secondary 3, my amath grades dropped from an A1 to a F9 which was really disappointing at that point of time. I realised that i couldnt do math alone and had to get some help. That was when i joined AOStudies at the start of secondary 4 together with my friend. I was initially hesitant on going for it however, Chu Wei made sure that all of us were comfortable during lessons. From passionate teaching to relatable stories to even snacks during break time. There is even a room where he set up for us students as a study lounge which is a good environment for us to all study together. Overall, a really good place to learn math in !! I really highly recommend that you all give him a shot !!

“Chu Wei also opened my eyes to a different world of mathematics. I ended up scoring both A1s for o levels.

Since the start of secondary 3 my AM has been atrocious(F9/E8/D7) and I didnt understand most if not all of the content taught to me in school and at the end of secondary 3 I joined AO studies. Chu Wei was more than just a teacher he shares with us his experiences and gives us advice on our future plans and is a real inspiration. He would teach you the concepts, and his tutorials would get harder and harder every practice. For integration and differenciation his teaching methods helped me understand it better than when i was taught at school. My grades improved drastically to Bs during prelims. He clarifies my doubts and questions that I have even after class has ended. His methods and explanation are clear and easy to grasp and would explain it until i got the hang of it, making sure that we understood how to do it and not just getting the right answer. After every lesson, I would be leaving the class feeling accomplished that i had learnt something new. . He gives us quizzes and tests that are killers and ulitmately that helped me in taking on harder questions and being able to do well for my o levels. He also opened my eyes to a different world of mathematics. I ended up scoring both A1s for o levels.

Thank you Chu Wei!

“Chu Wei’s lessons are enjoyable as well as there are quizzes and prizes to attain during lessons.

Before joining AO Studies, I had issues when dealing with AM questions. During Sec 3 EOY, I achieved a E8 for AM. Since I started joining AO Studies in Sec 4, Chu Wei helped me to improve my grades and thus, gave me confidence in my AM and EM studies. Chu Wei is patient when helping me with my misconceptions and questions. He is also a remarkable teacher as he will use different teaching methods until I understand the questions. Chu Wei’s lessons are enjoyable as well as there are quizzes and prizes to attain during lessons. Not to mention that he will chat with his students during free time and even give them helpful suggestions and encouragements when they need it. Moreover, he is a 24/7 teacher where you can consult math questions with him. Nearing the Olevels, he helped me to solve difficult EM and AM questions when I was doing practice papers. This led me to being able to understand the methods when solving questions and thus, able to solve similar questions in the future. This was a very big help to my last minute Olevels preparations. Since I joined AO Studies, I can see a great improvement in my AM; from failing in the tests to getting C6 in prelims and finally achieving A2 in Olevels. My EM had significantly improved as well and finally getting A1 in Olevels.
I am very thankful to Chu Wei for helping me with my studies. My results could not have been possible without him. I would definitely recommend Chu Wei to students struggling in AM and EM as they will be able to achieve results that they themselves once believed that they could not achieve.

“From getting a D7 in Sec 3 … to finally A2 in the O’levels! None of this could have been possible without the help of Chu Wei.

amath was never a subject i could excel in. In secondary 3, after taking up amath, i was only barely passing the class tests and was very confused in school during the amath lessons. However, after joining AOstudies in secondary 4, i could see an improvement in my grades. From getting a D7 in Secondary 3 EOY to a C5 in prelims and finally and A2 in the o levels! None of this could have been possible without the help of Chu Wei. He is an excellent teacher that is very clear and concise in his teaching. He never hesitates to clarify my doubts whenever i need help. His methods are extremely helpful in helping me understand all the concepts in secondary maths and i was able to apply what i learnt from him and with his guidance i managed to secure an A1 in EM and an A2 in AM in the o levels.

Thank you for everything Chu Wei!!?

“during the 2019 O level paper, the questions he created were almost identical to the O level questions.
AO Studies is a must go tuition centre. Chu Wei has really helped me in both my A maths and E maths. He does this by being a kind and friendly, but strict teacher. I could tell that Chu Wei really understands math and has the ability to teach and help us understand it too. If the students are unclear or lost, he would take the time to help them individually out of and during class. Closing to the exams, Chu Wei will painstakingly create test papers with questions he comes up with. These questions really make a difference when taking your O levels as the questions he comes up with covers every topic and is uniquely presented, encouraging students to think which formula to use and apply. Furthermore, during the 2019 O level paper, the questions he created were almost identical to the O level questions. Chu Wei does not simply teach math formulas and workings but also explains what every step does and why we do it. This made his math lessons interesting and fun! I personally recommend Chu Wei if you need help in maths.

Perhaps i started liking math more too HAHA. Chu Wei’s tests are insanely difficult and his class work really makes you want to throw your brain away and walk out of class puking, but i promise it’s all worth it.
Chu Wei and Joseph are seriously. miracle workers. i first went into that centre with consistent, solid f9s for both amath and physics. after months of non-stop pushing, motivation, and 200% dedication from the teachers, i managed to get a b3 for both subjects, which is actually unbelievable cause i normally repel good grades for science subjects??? really have to thank chu wei’s patience, thoroughness and again, dedication. he really makes me work when i start to become lazy, and towards the end, i saw all the progress i was making, and even started wanting to make my own effort to study! perhaps i started liking math more too HAHA. his tests are insanely difficult and his class work really makes you want to throw your brain away and walk out of class puking, but i promise it’s all worth it. joseph, on the other hand, is a lot more chill than chu wei, but he puts in the same dedication, and i swear has more patience than all moms put together in 5 lifetimes. he will explain everything to you over and over, with slides and elaborate yet concise notes, if you don’t understand the smallest concept. he’s really great, and i’ve clarified so much of my doubt with his help. in short, the both of them are amazing and inspiring teachers, so this centre is definitely worth every dollar and minute. also, have you seen the rewards???? what a good deal HAHAH

Chu Wei was willing to stay back for 1-2 hrs to clear my misconceptions and with his bubbly personality and constant pushing, i achieved an A2 in both A and E maths in O lvls.
I joined chu wei’s class in sec3. i was extremely lost at first, with terrible foundations in maths and getting constant F9s in my tests and major exams. my school teachers even told me to drop A maths, but chu wei pushed me to the best of my ability. with his straight forward style of teaching, he conveys concepts over well and helped me to understand the basis of the topic (which is hugely beneficial in helping one do well) as compared to pure memory work of formulas and concepts schools make me do. he was willing to stay back for 1-2 hrs to clear my misconceptions and with his bubbly personality and constant pushing, i achieved an A2 in both A and E maths in O lvls!

He explains concepts and topics clearly and teaches shortcuts and tricks which makes understanding of the problem so much easier.
5 GRADE JUMP? Seems impossible right? Simply put, Chu Wei has really really helped me with both of my maths alot. I joined AO after prelims, which i got D7s for both A and E Math. But within that short period until O Levels, Chu Wei constantly encouraged me to not give up and to continue trying. Every lesson was difficult to say the least, but as each lesson passed, i felt more confident when doing questions. In class, Chu Wei keeps his lessons engaging and ensures every student understands each question before moving on. He explains concepts and topics clearly and teaches shortcuts and tricks which makes understanding of the problem so much easier. Obviously, you need to put in effort as well… but because of Chu Wei’s help, for O levels, even tho i really wanted A1s, i received an A2 grade for both Amath and Emath. I am beyond grateful for the help Chu Wei has provided me and i would definitely recommend him if you need help in mathematics. Thank you Chu Wei for everything !!! ☺️☺️☺️

Chu wei is a tutor that has constantly motivated me to do better in my additional mathematics despite my constant failures. Having him to give me the push I needed to work harder has indeed helped me improve my grades and eventually from a fail in Additional Mathematics for my prelims, I managed to attain a B3 for my O levels.

He is strict which helps to keep me on the right track at all times.
When I first started at AOstudies I have been getting f9 all the way for my amaths but Chu wei helped pushed me to help me understand and learn different out of the box methods to tackle different problems. He is strict which helps to keep me on the right track at all times. It was a wonderful experience to go through and learn under him.
His class work is original and prepared me for anything that may come out during my O Level. His classes were never boring as he keeps you thinking on his challenging questions. He may be straightforward at times, but is really helpful in the long run as it helped me to want to improve on myself more with his help. He also does not mind giving his time after class to further explain the questions u might have. He not only is a tutor but also a good friend, he shares his own experience with us all and also teaches us more on how to avoid or solve real life problems while helping us understand it. He encourages all of us to be the best that we can be and further our studies to help achieve our goal. He has helped me to bring my f9 to a B3 which I thought was impossible, he is really the one to go to when in need of help.

His classwork is actually better than the standards of most schools, which had given me a leverage in the long run.
Chu Wei had helped me change my grades for EM and AM from barely passing with Cs, to getting distinctions in both subjects in the O level examinations. I find his teaching extremely helpful as he always has shortcuts, that comes with detailed explanations. His classwork is actually better than the standards of most schools, which had given me a leverage in the long run. He is passionate about teaching his students as he would stay back after class and explain to me if I did not understand a certain question at first, and explain it again till I grasp the concept of it. I feel that he has helped me to not only improve on my maths but as a person, as he taught me to work hard especially through the last few months before the O level examinations. Lastly, I can’t thank him enough for the knowledge that he had passed on to me, which allowed me to obtain such results.

This really made me realise that Chu Wei was not teaching for the sake of it, but truly because he wanted us to fully grasp and learn to love Math.
Every lesson with Chu Wei was to say the least, an emotional rollercoaster ride. Each lesson was tailored to perfection, with every minute little detail taken care of. Be it the ridiculously challenging tutorial questions to the little quotes of encouragement that Chu Wei never failed to add for every worksheet, he had everything perfected. And for this very reason, I found myself slowly but surely understanding what I was learning. The tutorials and tests that Chu Wei prepared was always a struggle. Every question was something new, each harder than the last, and not one would you have found in any assessment book. Though at times demoralising and frustrating, it truly prepared me for any question that was to be thrown my way. Chu Wei always made it his goal to make sure that if we entered the class with absolutely no clue of how to solve a math question, by the time we left, we would have mastered it. He made sure that we fully grasped every concept in each tutorial and never moved on if even one of us was slightly skeptical and unsure. Being someone who never liked having to accept concepts or as some would say ‘logic’ that was taught to me if i didn’t see eye to eye with it, I would often argue to make my point. Often teachers would brush me off saying “That’s just how it is”. Chu Wei, however, was different. I still remember once when this has happened in class, he went out of his way to make me understand the concept. He did not brush me off nor did he put me down. Instead, he explored my reasoning and patiently, yet skillfully, crafted a method to convince me of why my argument was invalid. This really made me realise that Chu Wei was not teaching for the sake of it, but truly because he wanted us to fully grasp and learn to love Math.
The effort Chu Wei puts into getting to know each and every one of his student is truly amazing. He makes it extremely easy to contact him for anything, be it a math question that i need help solving or simply if i need someone to talk to. It’s truly remarkable how much Chu Wei cares for his students’ welfare. Often, it is said that outstanding teachers demonstrate a “deep knowledge and understanding of their subject”. Although passion is inspiring, a deep knowledge and understanding of their students is just as important. Respect isn’t about having 30 silent faces shouted into submission. Not once did Chu Wei raise his voice at us. Not once did he lose patience. He treated us as humans; as his friend, he knew what we were talking about and took an interest in what we had to say, and naturally earned our respect. Perfectly planned lessons are one thing, but, to an angsty teen like me, showing that he cared and was always there to talk to really helped me get through Os.
Let learning be as a child who laughs, running up a helter-skelter at a fun-fair. Every step is sheer joy, ascended with ease as the brain fills with a pure happiness, one born of curiosity and the anticipation of discovery. Then comes the “Aha” moment while exhilaratingly riding back to the ground, smiling, eager to find new stairs. This was Chu Wei’s belief as a teacher and it definitely showed in his lessons. With Chu Wei, learning to me was never a mountain I was forced to climb, finding reasons to blame and shame those who fail. I was never dictated where to climb and how, without restricting the exact destination, never once using bribes and threats of any kinds. He was a teacher I could never get the better of. Whatever witty retort I had, he had one better. He took my cheekiness and at times, rebelliousness, and turned it into an advantage for himself, but not through belittling me or stamping authority. He checked my behaviour with a style of humour I could relate to, aspire to even. When Chu Wei teaches, it is with the passion of a lifelong teacher, someone who lives to inspire a love of learning in the next generation.

Chu Wei’s positive, motivational and amiable personality really pushed us to improve in our studies and made it less of a chore and more of a treat to attend his class..
I joined AO studies in May as a rather overdue attempt to improve my math grades, upon the recommendation of a friend. At the time, I scored a C5 in my A Math and an A2 in E Math for my Mid-Year Examinations. These results seemed like my best effort and what I would eventually score for the O levels, whereas I was aiming much higher. Throughout the 6 months that I was in Chu Wei’s class, my math grades improved consistently. His tutorials constantly challenged us to think out of the box to solve the math problems. He also instilled in us the idea that succeeding in this subject was not about simply obtaining the correct answer but ensuring that we understood the “how” of answering the question. Chu Wei constantly went the extra mile to ensure that we understood the work that he gave us by coming up with multiple methods of solving a question, even if it had to be tailored to each person. His insanely challenging tests and practices repeatedly pushed us to achieve our best. His expertise in the field of maths also ensured that he was able to understand and fully clarify our highly complicated questions with ease and clarity. Chu Wei also would adjust his lessons to cater to our distinct queries and enable more focus on the topics that we really had trouble with. This was due to the smaller class sizes at AO studies, ensuring more attention for each student. Attending AO studies was an amazing decision and something that I will always appreciate. Walking into class was like attending a friendly group study session, without the pressure and anxiety felt in some lessons. His tuition class was a one-stop shop for academic help, friendship, life advice and food. Chu Wei’s positive, motivational and amiable personality really pushed us to improve in our studies and made it less of a chore and more of a treat to attend his class. The faith and confidence he has in his student’s abilities further motivates us to do better and gives us the push that we need to score. In my 6 months in Chu Wei’s class, wholly help me better my grades. I graduated with an A1 in both maths in the 2018 O levels. I genuinely would encourage anyone to join Chu Wei’s class if they aim to succeed in maths. Thank you to Chu Wei for all his efforts in helping me achieve my results!

Class is always enjoyable and I never dread going for lesson.
I started math tuition with ChuWei at the end of secondary 1. Class is always enjoyable and I never dread going for lesson. It is a very conducive place to learn and you’ll definitely never go hungry during lesson with access to many snacks. In secondary 4, I felt very demoralised as additional mathematics became very challenging and I wanted to drop the subject. However, ChuWei persuaded me to continue working hard and encouraged me to never give up. The intensive lessons leading up to O levels was very helpful. I managed to jump 5 grades for additional mathematics and attained distinctions for both my elementary and additional mathematics in O levels. Not only is ChuWei an excellent tutor but also a good Friend who would join me for lunch in between lessons and gave me advice to help in sports and gym. Very grateful for his lessons that helped me achieve my goals smile emoticon

He would patiently go through the solution and explain thoroughly such that everyone would understand the method to solve similar questions.
Chu Wei is a tutor that motivates and inspires all students to strive towards their best. Thanks to him, I was able to stay motivated all the way up till my O levels. Through his tutorials which were seemingly horrifying, he taught us how to tackle tough questions in a simple manner so as to excel in the O levels. He also did all that he could to push his students to work hard to achieve stellar results in school-based exams as well as national exams. He also takes care of the well being of his students while pushing them to do their very best. Even though his tutorials looked as though he tortured students for a living, he would patiently go through the solution and explain thoroughly such that everyone would understand the method to solve similar questions. Furthermore, the tricky questions in his tutorials helped me further prepare for my O levels. Thank you ☺️

ello thank you for teaching me math/amath, a subject I thought I could never understand or be interested in. Also you make the lessons fun and enjoyable. Even though you held us to high standard, I know that I have learned more from your class than any other class I have had. You pushed me to do my best, and I am better at it now. I consider you not only the best teacher I have ever had, but also the best mentor I have ever had. I also learned a lot in your class because you took the extra time to explain things clearly. You gave me the extra help I needed. Thank you for giving me my distinctions. ?

I joined AO studies around april of my secondary 4 year and at that time I’ve been consistently failing my Amath (F9), Chemistry (F9) and Physics (D7) while my Emath barely scraped by with a C6. With O levels in about half a year or so it seemed almost impossible to get decent grades in these subjects until I joined AO studies. The tutors there were extremely dedicated and were willing to take the extra mile for their students. What seemed like an unattainable goal slowly but surely became possible as I passed all four subjects (with an A1 for Emath) during Prelims. Subsequently, with the outstanding efforts and guidance by the various tutors, I attained distinctions for all 4 subjects – Amath, Emath, Physics and Chemistry that i took under AO studies. It was such a blessing to be able to be tutored under AO studies and I really can’t thank the tutors enough. Thank you so much! ^^

“The tutors themselves are very friendly and kind and are able to make lessons lively and enjoyable for students.”

Before i joined AO Studies, I was failing Physics and was usually scoring a C6 for my AMaths. However, after I joined the Physics and AMaths tuition at AO Studies, both my Physics and AMaths were an A2. I found their lessons easy to understand and they provide a variety of questions both easy and difficult and they would go through the questions that students got wrong. The tutors themselves are very friendly and kind and are able to make lessons lively and enjoyable for students. Personally, i would recommend going to AO Studies because the tutors there pay attention to each individual and they will do whatever they can to make you improve.

“Chu Wei’s (challenging) lessons and assignments have helped me reach my goals for O levels in less than 2 years”

Before joining AO studies,I was barely passing EM and getting F9s for AM. Although skeptical about the effectiveness of tuition, I decided to give it a go here. Progress started to show slowly(but surely) over the course in tuition and soon enough, I got distinctions for both AM and EM during O levels!!! Chu Wei’s (challenging) lessons and assignments have helped me reach my goals for O levels in less than 2 years. He’s also open to sharing details about tertiary education so that you can make an informed choice during JAE. Thank you Chu Wei!!!!!!

“Chu Wei was able to provide me sufficient guidance during the class as he would try to explain till we can understand.”

I was barely passing EM and failing really badly for AM before joining AO studies. After having my friend introduce to me AO studies,i decided to give it a go. Chu Wei was able to provide me sufficient guidance during the class as he would try to explain till we can understand. Also, he gave us really challenging questions and tutorials for us to be well-prepared for our tests and exams. And of course not to forget his really really tough set of exam paper to prep us for our O level examinations. And soon enough, I was able to see improvements by my prelims. Furthermore, my tutor was able to pinpoint my weakness in both EM and AM, helping me to better prep for my O levels. Thankfully in the span of a year and a half, i was able to get distinctions for both my EM and AM YAY. THANK YOU Chu Wei!!!!!!

“Chu Wei’s teaching methods really in depth. Even for the tougher topics like differentiation and integration, i was able to understand it alot easier than when it was first taught to me by teachers in school.”

My amath and emath seemed to be always stuck between the B-C range. It was my emath which i felt was more challenging than amath, unlike many who may think otherwise. I also knew that emath should not be that tough for me, but yet there was something that seemed to be stopping me. Though i felt that a B3 for amath was already considered good for me at that time, i knew that i could do better. Chu Wei’s lessons were different from what i remembered last time, as i joined earlier in the year before joining another tuition centre and then coming back to AO studies again as i felt that it wasnt helping me much. There are hot towels now!!!! And food!!! Aside from those, i find Chu Wei’s teaching methods really in depth. Even for the tougher topics like differentiation and integration, i was able to understand it alot easier than when it was first taught to me by teachers in school. Math was once tough for me, but it only got tougher due to the tutorials which were really challenging as well as the ridiculously tough papers towards the O levels. All of which has helped me to improve my confidence in tackling both amath and emath, and eventually helping me to get A1s for amath and emath!!

I joined AO studies at middle of Secondary 3 after failing my Chemistry with only 25/100 (F9) for the 1st half of the year. After joining the Tuition centre for only 2-3 months, with the help of the teachers i managed to pass my Chemistry paper for the 1st time. Not just for Chemistry, i had also gotten F9s for my A math continuously for the 1st semester. Too after joining the Tuition centre, my results improved tremendously. From a once F9 to an A2, its a really huge improvement that even I found shocking.

The tutors are really helpful as they would invite me back to the tuition centre if i have doubts or problems solving a particular question. Their worksheets are made to be really challenging such that sometimes we do not even have enough time to complete the whole worksheet even with a full 2 hours to do the mere 6 questions or less.

“Chu Wei stopped me and told me he believed I could pass my maths. I still remembered I thought of how incredulous that was and I even scoffed when he said that.”

Before I joined AO studies, I tried taking classes from other tuition centres but I remained an F9 student for maths. Disheartened, I was so sure I was a gonecase for both my maths since I didn’t improve at all even when I had gone for tuition classes and I started losing confidence in myself. My results were fail grades continuously till mid year examinations in secondary four and I even considered dropping amaths, but then Chu Wei stopped me and told me he believed I could pass my maths. I still remembered I thought of how incredulous that was and I even scoffed when he said that. However, after months of his patient teaching, I was overjoyed when I started to pass my a maths, then improved to get a B4 in prelims. I finally got a B3 for amaths and A2 for emaths in o levels and I am proud to say that without Chu Wei, I would never had been able to achieve such good grades in such a short time. I am forever grateful to him, thank you Chu Wei!

“Chu Wei is wonderfully engaging and he never hesitates to share stories, opinions and jokes with the class.”

I had only begun attending AO Studies classes in June during my fourth year in secondary school, and in the short span of a mere five months, my grades had skyrocketed; From borderline passes I struggled to produce, to the A1s I achieved in both A and E Maths at my Os.

It has truly been an exhilarating experience; not only does the tuition centre provide a perfectly conducive environment for learning, I found that I have also enjoyed interacting with fellow classmates and our teacher Chu Wei. He’s wonderfully engaging and he never hesitates to share stories, opinions and jokes with the class. Furthermore, the papers and the practices he provides us are challenging and creative. Through his lessons, I have not only learnt to tackle each and every math problem, I too have learnt to appreciate the fascinating complexity and flexibility of the beauty that is mathematics.

Thank you Chu Wei!

I joined AO Studies middle of the year. At that point of time I was failing Math and hated it. I never looked forward to doing Math. But when I started with AO Studies, I started to take interest in it as I begin to improve slowly and when I got back my O level results with a B in less than 6 months! Thank you for giving the best experience at AO Studies

I struggled a fair bit during the first half of my Secondary 4 year with Maths, failing tests that took a toll on my confidence in the subject. After being with Chuwei for half a year, there was a significant improvement in my grades and he reintroduced the fun of math and I never experienced in the beginning of the year. I managed to get distinctions for both math at Os. It was a hard tedious journey made worthwhile with a helpful awesome tutor.

Blessed to have come across AO in my O level year, classes here have rendered me a distinction in both E and A math. Never actually thought it’d be possible to achieve this considering my consistent Bs, Cs and even Ds throughout secondary school. If not for the patience and dedication of my tutor I wouldn’t have been able to do this well, thank you!

I have always been a lazy, naughty naughty gal. However through the patience and motivation from the tutors at AO Studies, i found the passion to study! With constant practice and revision from the techiques taught, together with the ultra challenging tutorial questions, my overall olvl grades made a huge leap from my prelims, even i myself could not believe i could achieve that!  On top of that, during the selection of the JCs and subject combinations, the tutors voluntarily took the extra trouble and sorted out with me! I believe that only the tutors there would genuinely care for their students, and that is, what i feel is more important than what they have helped me achieve academically! Their care and concern towards us has really touched me!

AO Studies has provided me with a large variety of resources, from school’s examination papers to challenging questions set by the teachers at AO Studies themselves. These resources have not only given me the practice that I needed, but also equipped me with the relevant skills required to tackle challenging questions. Furthermore, the teachers at AO Studies are patient, as well as skilled at teaching in a way that will enable students to grasp concepts in great depth. They also will not hesitate to go beyond what is required of them and provide after-tuition-hours assistance to students who require them. With their aid, I managed to achieve A1 for both Elementary and Additional Maths.

I joined AO studies last June after failing my Additional Mathematics prelim exam, and even though I only spent half a year at the centre, I felt that AO studies was more than just a mere ordinary tuition centre. The tutors here have always gone the extra mile willingly just so that we could get the help we needed, such as explaining the mathematical solutions using unique methods until all of us could understand completely. After practicing the challenging questions set by my tutor and clearing the doubts I had for math, with the help from him and my friends at the centre, I managed to climb from a D7 in A.Math to an A1 at my second prelim exam and the eventual O level examinations. I am extremely thankful and blessed for the help I have received at AO studies, no amount of words can express this gratitude that I have towards the centre and tutors. At AO studies, they always believed that you could achieve something more, and for the faith my tutor had in me, thank you!

AO studies has pushed me and made me realise that I am able to strive well for my maths. From getting a measly C6 for my mid-years for Amath, I was able to accomplish an A2 in my O levels Emath and Amath. I’m more than grateful for the determination the teachers put in to help me improve my mathematics. I would definitely recommend people to join AO studies as the teachers there are efficient and effective. smile emoticon

I was on the verge of giving up on additional mathematics until my friend recommended me to AO Studies in June during my secondary four year. The teachers there started from basic and helped to gradually built up my foundation. Within months, my results went from below F9 to B3 during the O’levels. At AO Studies, I was taught by patient and understanding teachers who were really passionate about helping their students. Even after the results were released, the teachers gave in their free time and offered me advices on how to correctly choose the pre-uni institutes that will best favour me. For that and all the other hard work, I’m extremely grateful to the teachers at AO Studies. Thank you!

Before i join AO Studies,my A math results were horrible as i was unable to catch up with the pace that my school teacher was going. At my sec3 EOY examination, i got a F9 for my A math and was the last in my class. So after i join AO Studies,i started to catch up slowly and eventually i manage to reach the same pace that my school is going. In the end,my results manage to went from F9 to A2.If it wasn’t for my tutor effort and perseverance to continue to encourage me to work harder,i won’t even be able to achieve this kind of results today.Thank You!

AO math has given me the opportunity to grasp the skills and concepts that I need for mathematics. The tutorials given by the centre allows you to manage and focus on different key points that are required to understand the chapter well and to tackle harder questions in your exams. The tutors are patient with us students and meticulous in their workings to ensure that we understand each question fully. The great amount of practice that AO has provided me with, allowed me to achieve my distinction for my Amath when i formally found it hard to even pass.

I joined AO studies with 3 other classmates. AO Studies has effectively helped me improve my E-Math grades from a bad fail (Mid-years) to an acceptable pass for my O’levels. My tuition teacher provided me with challenging level-by-level questions that helped me better understand the different concepts of math that I was weak in. Lessons were also fun and usually full of laughter which made tuition less straining smile emoticon

The time spent in AO studies is vigorous but yet fruitful at the same time. In this short period of 3months i attended Amaths and Emaths tuition for roughly about 14-17lessons. This tuition exposes me to many different varieties of questions that are totally of a higher level compared to my school’s prelim paper. The questions require applications skills and different levels of calculations by different methods. This enhances the thinking level of the student by alot and thus helping me achieving a B3 for my Amaths in O lvls from a F9. I regret not attending this tuition early as it might even help me achieve an A for my O lvls. AO studies has also helped me achieve a A1 for my Emaths from a very low passing mark. The questions that i was exposed to has provided me to think meticulously and planned my work in sequence preventing me from causing any careless mistake. And ended up an A1 for my Emaths for O lvls

Before joining AO studies in June, my amaths never got a distinction. However, after joining I learnt alot from from the classes which were very enjoyable. I also got exposed to more difficult questions, allowing me to be able to handle the O level exam questions, and getting a distinction. Without the guidance from my tutor and the classes, I would not have been able to achieve this results I got. Thank you!

I joined AO studies at middle of Secondary 4 as I was doing very poorly in my Additional Math. I failed almost every common test. It was when I finally joined AO Math where it really helped me to firm up my foundation and tie up any of my loose ends. By prelims, I was able to pass my Additional mathematics with a C6. After my prelims, I continued to receive tremendous help and support from the tutor and was able to receive an A1 for my O Levels. I was so glad that I joined AO studies. Despite the fact that I only joined in the middle of Secondary 4, the constant encouragement and passion from the tutor made it possible for me to get a distinction in Additional Mathematics. Thank you!

During 2014, My math result was a complete disaster. I was scoring single digits for every examination I took, scoring the lowest in the cohort and I was about to give up on Mathematics. Luckily, I was introduced to AOstudies. My teacher, ChuWei, started building my foundation from scratch again. Teaching me the basics such as lower secondary algebra. He also taught me on different perspective on dealing with different question, faster and accurate ways of dealing with examination question so as not to waste time and how to check my my answers. The practice papers that he given in class were challenging and I was beaten by them every single time but ChuWei never given up. He would spend time explaining to me once or twice till I get the twist of it and would allow students to stay back after class time to ask him any doubts that we have requiring school work. During my Prelim 1 examination , I scored 46/100 and prelim 2 , 52/100. I was encouraged by ChuWei not to give up and to do my best in every chance I was given and during my recent N level examination , I scored a B3. I would like to thank all his time and effort that he put into me and his words of encouragement that pushed me further with my studies. Thank You !
